this week happened

This week happened – my favourite kind of post!

This week I managed an event in Wellington for work and though there were some things we could have done better we learnt a ton for the next one, overall it went well, and I’m really excited to manage the next few coming up this year.

I bought a membership for Les Mills Britomart from a girl on trademe, so it’s a really cheap price per week, already 1/3 of the way through the membership (I have commitment issues). I have real issues forcing myself to do exercise when it’s winter and have heard only good things about Les Mills so I really am hella excited for this. Big plus for the week. Hit me up if that’s your gym and maybe I’ll see you there.

I’ve finally thrown this cold that I’ve had for about 2 weeks. I think I went through about 4 boxes of tissues. Life tip – invest in cold and flu tablets, anti histamines, and for gods sake blow your nose every time it runs. You’ll kick it faster and you wont have that horrible time at the end of a cold where shit is backed up in your nose/throat from sniffing all day. Also people won’t hate you for sniffing all the time.

Spending $7 to have your pizza delivered rather than picking it up is actually such a good investment.

I stayed up real late last night reading Buzzfeed Buzzreads, which is actually some pretty good writing. I know, I was surprised too. I read this one about astrology, this one about the worlds tallest woman, this one about those kids aged 10 and 11 who were plotting murder, this one about being 35+ female, single and freezing your eggs in NYC, this one about the murder of a teen thriller authors daughter, and this one about a teenager who faked a bunch of hate crimes against herself.

It’s nearly August, so in a couple weeks my sister is spending a night with me in Auckland on her way home to Taupo from Dunedin for mid semester break. I’m currently deciding which would be the best place to take her out to dinner and impress her with Auckland food. Ideas?

I am one of those weird people who struggles to listen to a new full album by an artist mostly because it’s new and ‘I don’t know any of the songs’. Luckily one of the guys in my office plays the office music all day and I rely on him to play new good stuff in it’s album entirety, so now I have several new albums that I can listen to the whole way through and enjoy. How good is GIRL, Ultraviolence and X? Oh and Doprah’s EP, but I discovered that on my own.
